My first bamboo

This is my first bamboo plant. I found it on clearance at a store yesterday. The soil is moist so I have not watered it. It has these rocks on top of it, but they can be removed. There is no drainage in the bottom of the container it’s in. Obviously I see the yellowing that is occurring, that was there when I bought it.

What changes should I make to care for this plant? Thanks!
