I’ve been asked a few times for some updates on some of these. While no major changes, I’ve been concentrating on reducing the fullness of the top. Changing it from just being bushy to more open. Allowing light and air to pass through.
The second tree was one I didn’t pay enough attention to as it got shaded out over the back and all the growth started growing for the light. Gave it a decent cut back and a good thin out as some of the long shoots thickened up some upper branches too much.
All are due for a repot come spring.

I’ve got a ton of this on a hillside I’m not fond of. This is inspiring to go looking for candidates.
Those are some great spekboom. I love the species but am in Chicago unfortunately.
