Edit: also should add, that’s a beautiful tree. Eastern white pine is probably my favourite conifer.
Gotta love those bushy, open grown white pines. They bring a really nice dynamic to a clearing surrounded by hardwoods. It allows birds to pop back and forth between open field and shelter from weather and predators year round.
Unfortunately this one will probably split at some point with those codominant trunks. It’s what white pines love to do.
