It took 41 years but I gardeninged my first ever garden.
I’m sure they’re in the wrong soil and one is for shade and the others for sun and they will all die in two days but this is literally the first ever gardening thing I’ve done and I’m quite pleased with myself.
Part of the fun of gardening is learning what works and what doesn’t and trust me nature will always surprise you.

Yay well done! See how they get on. If they’re in a sunny position make sure you water them enough 🙂

Congratulations, it is a very beautiful arrangement, welcome to gardening life! I would be tempted to move this somewhere with partial shade (about 4-6 hours direct sun per day) to protect the baby acer tree. In winter, once the acer is bare after the beautiful autumn display you will get, I would probably either plant it directly in the soil, or move to a large pot with the right soil, keeping all the rest of the flowers in the planter for spring.

Beautiful. You are on a slippery slope. Next you will be hanging out at garden centres drinking tea and browsing for new tools and filling car with plants.

Stuff will die, stuff will thrive.
You’ll never truly know why, but nature does what nature does.
Plants find their own niche, and don’t get too uptight if things don’t work.
Enjoy it, it’s good for the heart, it’s good for the mind.
