Is this enough space for my corn plant? I don’t want it to be overcrowded ^.^

That’s actually a decent amount of space, but corn usually does better in a block rather than spread out. One plant on its own won’t do much since it needs nearby plants for pollination. If that whole patch is for corn, you could fit quite a few there — just space them maybe ~8–12 inches apart in a grid

To properly grow corn you need at least a 4v4 space with at least 20-25 corn plants. Reason being, each one of those hairs you see on an ear of corn needs to be pollinated by another plant for the singular kernel of corn attached to that specific hair to grow. Each kernel of corn is attached to one hair in every single ear of corn, and if not pollinated, that kernel will not grow… The main way these get pollinated is by the wind blowing pollen from one plant to another.

Basically, fill that whole space with corn, packed tightly.

Depending on the corn type, you can pack it. I plant a seed every 8-10 inches in a row, with rows spaced 1 foot apart. In a 5×5 area, I grow 20-25 plants.

Corn won’t do anything without other corn to fertilize it, and it really needs at least 10 other corns to do it, which is about the minimum I’ve done successfully (and planted very close together)

plant in a block of at least 4 rows for better pollination…….so if you’ve room for 4 rows, this is enough space to plant corn

    Have you considered planting another?

You must plant corn in blocks of approx 5feet by 5 feet to ensure decent pollination and fruiting . Otherwise just plant something else there …

Did squirrels eat the other seeds? That happened to me every time I try to grow corn 😭 stupid Cornhusker state, everybody wants corn here.

You actually need a lot of of them close together to pollinate at all.

    My corn patch is 24′ x 6′. Rows 30″ wide seeds 6″ apart. That’s 4 rows I’m thinking 40 plants.
