Are those Cornish crosses?
I think so, I have to look back, they’re from our meat bird coop. We rotate them with the layers.
Our mama got pecked so bad the back of her head was missing. So we nursed her back to health.
She always was such a a sweetie. So we put her in with the chicks, and it was the best thing we ever did. Her stress is very low, and the birds are so low key they follow us around like puppies.
To be able to watch & listen to a biddy with her chicks is I think, worthy of believing, a piece of heaven! Right up there with listening to Bobwhite Quail call to others!
