Hey friends 🤍
This Walmart haul was definitely a real life restock for our family of 10! We went in for groceries… but also ended up grabbing garden seeds, shoes for the boys, cleaning supplies, flowers to plant, and more.

With our budget shifting and us preparing for a more simple, intentional way of living (and future homestead plans 🌱), I’m being very mindful about what we bring into our home and how we spend.

In this haul I’m sharing:

* Groceries to help feed our large family
* Garden seeds + planting plans
* Kids’ needs (like shoes!)
* Cleaning + household restock items
* A little bit of everything real life requires

If you’re feeding a big family, budgeting, or just trying to live more simply—you’re not alone 🤍

👉 What’s one thing you always end up buying at Walmart that wasn’t on your list?

Thank you so much for being here and supporting our family 🫶

  1. Wow! You have already made a big change in your shopping! That chicken and bread was a cheap lunch for your family. Can't wait to see your garden grow. Keep up the good work.

  2. Hi Maudie. So glad you were able to find a rototiller to rent. Around here we call our yellow and white corn butter and sugar. Love it. Your flowers are so pretty. Anxious to see your front door pots. I'm going to be living gardening thru you (I don't have a green thumb). Have a blessed rest of your week. 🙂❤️

  3. I changed my budget as well. I could change the grocery budget I did a small reduction first and I hope I can get it down even more.

  4. Hey friends!! 🤍
This one was a REAL LIFE Walmart trip… not just groceries 😅

Between seeds, shoes, cleaning supplies, and food—it adds up fast when you’re feeding and caring for a family of 10!

👉 I’m curious… what’s ONE thing you always end up buying at Walmart that you didn’t plan for?

Also—would y’all like to see a full garden update with everything we’re planting from these seeds? 🌱

  5. Hi Maudie. I love seeing a video post from you. The flowers are beautiful. Show us your pots when you get them made. I'm not gardening this year. I am lowering my budget as well. I'm trying to make better eating choices as well.

  6. Hi Maudie! So happy to see you! I love your shirt! Our God is SO faithful! 🙌🏼 I am going to Walmart today. Things are definitely different in the stores! We all need to be trying our best to grow and preserve food in whatever manner we are able to. The flowers are beautiful! 🌺🌼🌸 Thank you so much for sharing your haul with us! God bless you sweet lady! 🩷

  7. I have some raised garden beds and I plan on growing different vegetables and canning them and also eat fresh. It seems like groceries are up every time I go to the store. I love to grow all kinds of flowers brightens my day. I don’t buy bread anymore I make my own sourdough bread it’s much better than store bought. Have a wonderful day 😊

  8. Get the avocados at Sam’s. You can also buy them frozen for smoothies. If you like eggs in the morning try adding a handful of spinach and then scramble your eggs in it. It’s so good and adds some nutrition. Do share your garden!

  9. Great grocery haul!! Fresh step is the best for cat litter!! Enjoying your videos and still praying for you and your family!!😊

  10. We definitely have to find alternate grocery cost savings since pricing has become outrageous for the most part. Thanks for sharing your plans & methods. It really helps❣️

  11. We have several large raised bed gardens in our backyard. We save all our own seeds and all heirloom varieties. This year we have sweet pepper, and bell peppers, a few large beefsteak and striped Roma and cherry tomatoes we started from seed. Still indoors as it's cold. In the garden we have lettuce, mustard greens, swiss chard, arugula, broccoli, cabbage, peas, onions, garlic and kale growing. The Jerusalem Artichokes have just now sprouted and will flower in the fall and give us tubers to eat all winter. Flowers we grow mostly Perennial and the Helebore are blooming now. Snap dragons, cone flowers, astibile are all up. Lots of herbs like greek oregano, mammoth dill, lemon balm, catnip, thyme, sage are all up and doing well. As for grocery shopping we eat a Carnivore/Keto diet so we shop the meats and dairy and cheese aisle only. We do eat some frozen wild or organic blueberries with our yogurt.
