Pleached Tree Root Flare

Hi All,

I recently bought 5 Laurel pleached trees that I planted in my garden, as they were potted I had to dig deep in some of them to find the root flare.

I am wondering if someone can help with this particular one where unlike the others doesn’t seem to have a big visible flare and instead more little roots just shooting from the trunk. Can someone let me know if the widening of the trunk is enough of a root flare? I am contemplating replanting it higher to enable me to expose more flare but would really like an opinion.
