I have really bad task paralysis, and I am super stressed and overwhelmed with how overgrown my front yard has become. It’s full of weeds, tree of heaven sprouts all over, and goat heads. There’s gravel under all that green. I have no idea where to start. I don’t have a lot of funds to throw around to hire someone, so it’ll be just me and my husband tackling this.

Located in Idaho, not sure if that’s relevant.

I 100% feel your pain, I have similar… I have found… Pick an area and just start. Dedicate a certain amount of time and when the times up that’s it.

    Take it in small chunks.

  2. If there’s gravel underneath, start with a weed wacker. Then use a weed torch. Get back down to the gravel and decide what to do later.

It looks like you have some nice raised beds already in place, though.

Just mow it short to start with. Any lawn will be out of control if you dont mow it, weeds or not.

Pick a small area and grip it and rip it. Set a timer (for example do an hour a day). Take photos so you can see your progress.
