Beer gardens have been cancelled and outdoor vendors moved indoors ahead of this weekend’s Foothills Spring Expo in Okotoks due to forecasted weather.
The first-ever Foothills Spring Expo will host the Okotoks Trade & Lifestyle Show and Okotoks MarketSquare Spring Fling Artisan Market all in one place this Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The lineup is set to feature more than 200 local businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans and food trucks.
Beer gardens were originally planned as part of the event; however, the weekend forecast has forced organizers to cancel them.
The remainder of the event will carry on as planned inside the Okotoks Recreation Centre, with food trucks remaining as an outdoor feature.
Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased online at themarketsquare.ca or at the door.
Residents who attend on Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m. will receive free entry if they bring a donation for the Okotoks Food Bank.
