I just shut my heat matt off a week ago. At this time of year in my zone, I try to germiante everything outside so the seedlings are automatically hardened off. I've never used a humidity dome.
Definitely was using those yellow sticky indicators as traps up until last year. I switched to BT for this year and for the past 6 mths, literally just 1 gnat. Just apply every other watering and I'm golden.

I use the sticky traps and the mosquito bits with almost 100% success. I put one mosquito bit in each of my seedlings this year and so far so good 🤞🤞
If you are starting seeds in a cold place a heat mat with thermostat is good
Neem meal steeped in water and then used to water your plants is the absolute BEST thing I’ve ever used for gnats.

The first time I used a heat mat, every seeding died, every single one. I left them on too long because the room was about 67F
