I was working in the yard last week when I noticed it's really uneven and dry. I sent a text to my wife. "Remind me to order 5 bags of top soil."
5 minutes later, she texts back from inside, "ordered it for you! Same stuff as last year."
It was delivered today. My lovely, smart, sweet radiant, funny wife ordered 5 yards of top soil.
That's a pallet.
Anyone in zone 5a wanna buy some top soil?

Thats not 5 cubic yards. 1-2 as it sits. A yard is 3 feet. A cubic yard is 3x3x3.
5a covers a wide area. Can you narrow down by state, at least?

Best part is those bags tell you how much is in each one. Just multiply it out. The label on the bags says it 1 cubic foot. Looks like there’s 5 bags for row and about 2 rows total so 60 cubic foot bags. Thats 2.2 cubic yards. It may only be 4 bags per row which is 1.8 cubic yards
Even if you don’t, rough math..
A pallet is 4×4 and that’s about 4 feet tall.
4x4x4 = 64 cubic feet
64/27 = 2.4 cubic yards
But there’s gaps and air between bags and they’re not filling the complete imaginary 4x4x4 space. It’s be closer to 2 cubic yards.
Add sand to the stuff you have leftover and level your yard
