I disagree that it’s too bushy, I wouldn’t prune at all. With such a long section of trunk straight out the soil without any branches, in my opinion it needs a lot more thickening for the proportions to balance out in a more appealing way. Otherwise I think the trunk will always look a little too thin comparatively with that sort of height / taper ratio. Just my $0.02!

Unless you’re happy with the trunk size, I’d let it grow. Then repot right before leaf out next spring into a larger pot. Then let it grow more.
If you do like the trunk, I’d prune it right above the lowest branch.
