A lamppost was toppled
Police are appealing for witnesses after a BMW toppled a lamppost and damaged a memorial garden in a 2am crash. Cops had been sent to the scene in Milton this morning.
StokeonTrentLive reported how residents were awoken to police and a recovery wagon at the Susie Cooper Memorial Garden at the junction of Maunders Road and Hardman Street. Now the force has confirmed how the occupants of the car ‘left the scene on foot’.
A spokeswoman said: “We are appealing for information following a non-stop collision in Stoke-on-Trent. We were called to Hardman Street, Milton, following reports that a black BMW had collided with a lamppost. The occupants of the car left the scene on foot. Our investigation is ongoing. We are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to contact us.”
