We all dream of the perfect outdoor space. And now Amanda Holden has revealed her own ‘wonderful’ garden makeover, taking it from ‘football pitch’ to ‘completely flawless’ with the help of designers @iconiclandscapesuk.

As spring temperatures hot up, the Britain’s Got Talent presenter will be able to enjoy her newly-renovated outside space to the max and recently posted a video showcasing her ‘Palm-Beach’ style.

Amanda has previously let her followers in to every step of the transformation, sharing before-and-after videos and her mission to bring some ‘Californian magic to Surrey’.

‘Have a look at the before, during and after of our wonderful garden renovation,’ she writes. ‘My garden feels like a holiday! Alex, Mark and the incredible team just smashed it – they were brilliantly professional and kind to work with! Unflappable and completely flawless – it was all completed within eight weeks!’

The Britain’s Got Talent presenter shared the renovation in three parts – before, during and after.

So, what are the secrets of her garden style? GH spoke to Amanda’s garden designer Alex Bayman of @iconiclandscapes to find out. ‘We design and build exceptional, high-end gardens across Surrey and the Home Counties, with a clear focus on quality at every stage,’ says Alex. ‘We believe a garden should be as considered and refined as the home itself, which is why both our design and construction are held to the highest standards.

‘Every project is bespoke, combining strong architectural structure with layered planting to create outdoor spaces that feel luxurious, timeless and built to last. For readers looking to bring a similar feel into their own gardens, there are a few key principles we always come back to:

Plan your lighting early – well-designed lighting is essential to creating atmosphere and allows the garden to be enjoyed into the evening.Choose materials carefully – opt for a considered palette of materials that complement each other and will stand the test of time, both visually and practically.Be generous with planting – incorporating feature plants alongside layered planting schemes creates depth, softness and a more established feel. Without a well-considered planting design, even the best-built garden can feel incomplete.Don’t cut corners – a garden should be treated as an extension of the home and built to the same standard you’d expect indoors. Investing in quality from the outset ensures the space will last.Invest in good design from the outset – a professionally designed garden will not only look better, but will function more effectively and often save money in the long run.
