I found this little cutie growing in a weed patch in my front yard, thanks to the rain.
This looks like a prairie verbena but I'm not used to seeing such vibrant color on the blooms. I'm pretty excited to find it because I'd given up on buying a plant and ordered seeds last week. (though I found out HEB has them now so I may buy some more.)
Is this prairie verbena? If not, what do I have? Thanks!

Looks like Prairie Verbena to me, so pretty!
Me too. It’s lovely and popping up in places that are perfect. Thing is, there’s none other around and I have no idea how it arrived. Usually all I get is weeds!
I found a vibrant purple prarie verbena growing in an uncared for area of my yard as well! It’s much darker purple than the flowers on the one I got from HEB
This looks like a homestead purple verbena.
