I noticed that a few people post about their cane Begonias not looking like when they bought them, not matching online photos or changing the way they look over time.

Many spotted varieties will have different density based on the conditions they are grown in. The pictures I included are the same Begonia hybrid 'Juanita Jewel'. First one is grown in Bangkok on a balcony with indirect light, where it is very hot and currently has low humidity. Second one is grown in EVAP greenhouse in northernThailand in the mountains with filtered light, where it is much cooler and humid.

They almost look like completely different Begonias. I think most likely the dots come out based on the average temperature.

If possible I recommend making props and growing in different conditions such as more light and or warmer locations to bring out the look you are interested in.
