Essentially what the title says, I got these pereskiops in a pack with other cacti I want to micrograft/graft some cacti onto these but not sure if I need to cut and graft on the arm or cut back farther on the stem itself

Hoping to do a impale graft if I can

Any help is appreciated thank you

  1. I’d personally wait until they have grown a couple of inches and have leaves. They’re fun to propagate and it expands your amount of grafting stock

It’s better to wait until those recover from shipping and get leaves and new growth. If you let it grow big enough to take a couple inches off above where you want to graft you can start a new pereskiopsis every time you make a graft. It’s not hard to root cuttings. Take the bottom couple leaves off. Stick it in dry soil. Water it after a few days. It can do really well outside in the summer so it’s a good time to start propagating a bunch.

As everyone said so far, wait for a few fresh green inches.
It’ll only take at most a month imo.
