My pink princess was pushing out a leaf and when I came home today, half of the new leaf was on the floor! I don’t know if it got stuck coming out and snapped or what but I’m so sad now!!!

It’s unusual to find it on the floor, but leaf breakage happens sometimes during emergence. You can help minimize it from happening by making sure the pot doesn’t 100% dry out when it’s pushing a new leaf, and also by making sure it is getting plenty of light. Some people swear that adding silica to the watering schedule helps too, but I’ve not tried it, so can’t vouch either way.
