That is the petiole, it is essentially a neck for your plant. This is where your plant is able to move around to face the leafs wherever the sun is coming from.
Absolutely nothing to worry about and those brown lines are totally normal, just signs that it has moved around looking for sun at some point in its life
It’s corking, the way plants strengthen their structure.
