This is how I create a front yard that looks full, colorful, and completely pulled together… without constant maintenance.

I used 17 pots around my front entry and started by organizing all my artificial flowers by color so everything would work together. Then I built each arrangement using a styrofoam base for structure, layered in height, and covered everything with dirt and mulch so it looks completely natural.

All of the flowers are UV-rated, and I even added an extra protective spray to keep the color vibrant. I also mixed a few artificial stems into my real hydrangeas so everything blends seamlessly.

The result? A front yard that looks lush and welcoming… and you’d never know how low-maintenance it actually is.

  1. I got rave reviews from my Bible Study group last week for the gorgeous flowers i "planted" in my pool deck pots. I had to admit they were fake. I have to give out the order info to everyone. I told them if they're good enough for Rebecca they're good enough for me. I wish I could attach a picture

  2. Rebecca I have noticed your camera man moves too fast and doesn't capture the end result well. I thought to brung it to your attention bcz it's kind of unfortunate that we take all the time to see the entire process and once we get to the end result not the whole picture is shown or if it is, the camera moves too quick and suddenly it's the end.
Anyways I think you have done a beautiful job as always. On that note, I've noticed with Parisian style, they don't do their gardens too colorful. They pick one color and they do a cascade of the same color everywhere.

  3. Love love this idea, i have the pot of gold in my flower beds. They are so beautiful blooming , and there the morning that I got up the deer, coming in my yard had a feast with them,,iwas so upset.., now they'll be upset with my artificial flowers out there…

  4. I'm actually considering this on my front porch because in Phoenix, AZ it's next to impossible keeping plants alive and Im sick of wasting money.

  5. what a shame all that plastic will end up in a landfill in a few years when natural flowers will make the place feel much more alive, and have no negative consequence for the environment.

  6. I love it. I told a lady I worked with more than 10 years ago that I put artificial poinsettia in my flower box. She laughed and said she never heard of anyone doing that. 🤭

  7. The thing is that artificial flowers/plants are more expensive than real ones..I would love to know the cost of it all..if you believe you dont have a "green" thumb use grasses..they come in green, white and green, yellow and green..you can buy different size grasses..create a beautiful flowy scene that requires little care

  8. At first, I was thinking, I don’t know about this… But then I realized it was Rebecca Robson! It’s gonna look beautiful!
