  1. Lovely to see you back Mark 🎉 great ideas and tips 👍👍, Ali ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️🇨🇦

  2. We are very lucky and that our garden centre has a huge bin that people can just bring old pots too. I’ve taken some myself and you just help yourself to the mall and I’ve got some really nice big buckets out of there.

  3. You are correct Mark, us gardeners love a freebie. most garden centres and plant nurserys give the pot carrying trays away, i used to start my peas off in them before i started using gettering. My tomatoes are all grown in the flower buckets from ASDA ( final potting on ). Looking forward to the next one now. Also, the milk carton can be cut along both sides and front, leaving the back attached and it can then be used as a propagator , the top is basically hinged because the back is still attached.👍

  4. Good to see you back on air, Mark. I'm growing potatoes in tubs this year at the allotment rather than in the ground. Not sure if I will regret it; depends on how hot a summer we have and how often I have to water.

  5. Great to see you again, I have missed you! I got 20 flower buckets from Morrisons last year for my tomatoes… they sold them for £1 for 5 so not quite free but still a bargain! I hadn't thought about actually planting in the pot carriers but that's a great idea. I use them to hold pots and span a greater area than the width of my staging in the greenhouse. Those are mahoosive onions behind you btw! ❤❤

  6. Strawberries have big root systems. I wouldn’t recommend a milk carton to grow them. Plant in the free flower buckets instead.

  7. Talk nicely to any local businesses with a kitchen (or check by any bins that are on public property). I often get large plastic buckets which have held ketchup, mayo, pickles etc. If you live near a beach watch out for old fish boxes being washed up. My local charity shops often throw out/give away plastic storage bins which have been donated minus their lids. I'm about to start dismantling a suitcase with broken wheels – it'll make 2 good shallow beds for salad stuff.

  8. Brilliant video Mark!!! I do a bit of container gardening in my home garden – just so much easier to weed, control and change about!! Facebook marketplace is great for getting free planters and containers too!!

  9. Great advice as usual Mark , ive had those flower pots from the supermarkets before , im still using them actually , keep up the good work 👍

  10. 3:04 I do exactly the same Mark. Free trays and lots of space in them. Glad you're back. Just planted my Kondor the other day. See ya! 🌱🌱🌱😊
