  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a garden center so well stocked! I could wander around for hours. 😍🤩 Thank you for taking us around – it really helps getting the information on the plants and it gives us ideas.

  2. I’m in North Texas zone 8 and I have 2 Flame Thrower redbuds in pots on my patio (currently renting) and I love them! They can be hard to find locally but they handle our Texas heat really well.

  3. The jasmine…in the south it's still known to some as Confederate Jasmine. I'm in a new build house, and I would like to plant one between the windows of my garage, with a trellis to grow on. It's one of the best smells in the world.
I've also heard it called "Carolina Jasmine", unless that is a different variety.

  4. Hi Laura, Vining kiwi is absolutely gorgeous! The glossy large leaves are breathtaking. The fruit is sweet. The skin is edible. Mine has been in my garden for the better part of eight years very easy to take care of yet I have never seen any fruit on mine as the male kiwi plant died in a freak winter storm A couple years ago and I have never seen another male kiwi for sale. ( if you do choose kiwi, please note it takes the better part of 10 years before you will see fruit) How about a climbing hydrangea for your yard? They are so magnificent! Love your channel. Thank you for inspiring me over the years.❤

  5. What a fun day Laura love your sharing of everything with us. After listening to your ham recipe, when’s dinner?😅😅

  6. Star jasmine is always reminds me of my childhood. As a kid, every evening we pluck baskets of jasmine and make garlands. Such a nostalgic experience. Thank you for bringing those memories back 🙏🏻

  7. I second the recommendation of "All Dressed Up" rose for your garden. It is a beautiful rose and the leaves are so green and healthy looking.. Great addition to your garden.

  8. I can help a little with one of the names… That beautiful eau de perfume, French for perfume water. Eau is pronounced "oh", the de is a lazy e and the fume has a soft u like "ew" rather that "you"…so the whole thing sounds like…"oh duh parfoom"

  9. I still find it so strange to hear people in other parts of the world call a Kiwifruit a 'Kiwi' – it's like calling a passionfruit a 'passion' or a watermelon a 'water' to my ear! A Kiwi being a New Zealander 🇳🇿 after the flightless national bird of our country.
Just from a Kiwi's perspective 😂 Not sure I'll ever get used to it lol!

  10. Klematis 'Julka' (youlca) polska odmiana.
Szczepan Marczyński wyselekcjonował wiele pięknych odmian.

  11. My daughter just planted 2 star jasmine’s to cover a fence and arbor, she’s zone 9 . It is the most wonderful smell. Laura – that star jasmine is going to eat that trellis in about 2 months. Get a bigger trellis.

  12. I wonder how big that eucalyptus will get? Will you trim it back to keep it small? Same for the jasmine? I get a kick out of how much you love the rain.🌧️

  13. I love “visiting” your family’s garden center with you! I even told my husband, we need to do a roadtrip. There are so many pretty things. And, I love how much you love and appreciate your family. It is refreshing and a joy to watch. Happy planting! I’m hitting our local garden center later.

  14. Australian Native plants require a low to no phosphorus potting mix to grow successfully. They have adapted to these conditions over the millennia in the Australian landscape & also require excellent drainage. Just some tips for you from an Aussie fan.

  15. I am with you Laura … we love grapefruits and we were considering buying a Blanco oro here in Mesa.. a neighbor put out some to share and we tried it ! Nope ! We want a red ruby ! The Oro was dull and too sweet ! 😂

  16. Wow! What a wonderful Garden Center. I would want to spend some serious time there. I like how you planted the Star Jasmine.

  17. If you watch Bloom and Gray's video on Eucalyptus. She talks about topping / coppicing the Eucalyptus to keep them small. I cleaned our cream blinds with Janola toilet gel (and a scrubbing brush), it gets rid of mold and if you leave them in the sun to dry it bleaches them white, they come up so clean.

  18. Good evening 😊Yes here in West Virginia we got freeze last night. I had sheets everywhere. Your Parents has such a pretty plant shop 😊

  19. Oh my gosh! I wish I lived out there! We just don't have green houses/nursery businesses around there like your Mom and Dad's business. Our "nurseries" are pretty small and then we have Lowes and Menards but they don't have people that really know about the plants like your Mom does! You are so lucky to have all that where you live! We live in South Central IL and I am ordering things online that you talk about for out climate. Love it when I get them and my UPS fella is very careful with everything I order.

  20. I’m so into the sedum. I can’t believe the varieties no one is carrying in my area. I’ll order them online! Plus not great variety of spirea either. Sad!!!

  21. I don’t know if it has been mentioned but that you so much for adding the temperature in Celsius! It’s the little details that make your channel so great for all 🙌🏻😌

  22. Great selection!!!! Beautiful beautiful clematis varieties. 🛒 💳 👩‍🌾
Laura I take notes and add plants to my wish list. Thanks for the grow tips you share.
Wonderful to see you out and about Monica💐. Looking forward to the annual tour of your garden.
    🫶 from California zone 9b

  23. I love the pine trees with the yellow growth on so pretty a few of then around the property would look amazing and the shape of them truly beautiful x

  24. I just found myself thinking that I'd better get out there. It looks like it's going to rain. Then I looked out my window and the sky is blue! 😀 I'll finish watching first. 😀

  25. I wish there was a garden shop like your mom’s where I live. There’s just so much variety and everything looks so healthy. Although, I would probably be broke.

  26. Visited your parent's beautiful garden center today. On our way to Hastings Ne from Olympia Wa. Picked up some seeds (Bee Balm Lambada) and some of those Jiffy pods. I think I'm going to try to start them in some plastic cups. Do you think they will germinate before we travel back home?. 😂

  27. You should try a vinigar solution on those shades .. I use it on my rug when my cat pukes and it gets rid of the stain real good and I tried everything on it . let it sit for 15 to 20 min then scrub but don't get any on the plants because it will kill them and dont get any in your eyes when spraying and scrubbing and then rinse .

  28. In Wisconsin, love your channel! We just pulled out our arctic kiwi vines we had three on a trellis and the recent storms knocked it over. They really do get huge! The fruit are the size of grapes. We found it to be a very short harvest opportunity between tart hard fruit and then mushy overripe fruit. Tart and tasty but I didn’t think they tasted much like kiwi. If you get one, I’ll anxiously wait to see the video!

  29. Laura, I’m jealous. We have not had rain in weeks! Dryest winter and Spring I can remember and I’m old! You ham recipe is how we cook it in the southeast Ky Appalachian Mountains! My grandmother made it like that. All you need with it is mashed potatoes and fresh green beans!

  30. Laura, for my birthday this year I'd really love an Andrews Seed Co. gift card! I can fill in the amount!!! LOL!!! Love this video. I've been watching for years. Your my fave!
