Done by a professional reputable patio company… what do we think of this? As a whole it looks okay but im curious as to whether these "finishing" bits are to be expected? Or should I complain? I know nothing about landscaping etc so not sure if im being unreasonable or the work is sub par.
Paid 7.5k total.

This looks like something I could have done. For context I work an email job.
The risers should finish under the edge on the stones and be flush with the vertical edge. I also hate 4 square corners coming together so I would have split one of those stones on the step in half and centered the other one to break up the grout lines.
This sucks!
Be so for real rn
This is terrible in every way.

I am upset for you.
7.5k for that… oof.
Step looks god awful. I would have them redo that. The other stonework is passable. Not great.
Make sure it drains though, if it pools or flows towards the house, thats a complete redo.
Well this isn’t professional it’s awful
you got fleeced. It happens
it looks like they slapped that step together and stepped on it while still wet and pushed the sides out. Are they even finished? The rest looks ok enough but that step is… yikes
Yes. This was a job.
Ass.
This is an abortion. But I am not a professional
That step is bad. You are absolutely going to trip or smash your toe on the sharp side. It really should be redone by someone who has seen a step before.
Some of it looks oakyish the step looks pretty bad. You can buy a really nice single stone step. Guessing the separate colours are still just wet. It’s like 6/10.
The price will be dependent on how big it is, if it’s a 20×20 then you did really good. If it’s 5×8 well not so great.
