Hi!
I am looking for suggestions for plants that love heat and plants that show variegation or look different when grown in warm/hot conditions like for example Philodendron 'Paraiso verde'. I'm interested in tropical/ rainforest plants. (I murder 🥲 sucullents and cacti as my house has higher humidity, and the heat oh God! 🤣)
I know Philodendron ilsemanii does the heat variegation thing too…

Edit: I know Philo. 'Florida ghost' changes color too but that is due to light…have one, love it to pieces!🔥

So you’re telling me I need to warm my plant up to get more variegation?
I just got a Paraiso Verde on the weekend and it only has one leaf with variegation and two leaves without.
How do you care for yours? Mine is in straight fluval for now, thinking about moving to LECA.

Syngoniums Strawberry Ice and Mottled Mojito tend to show better colouring and variegation in warmer conditions. Higher temperature isn’t a necessity for variegation to show like with Paraiso Verde but it helps.
