On Wednesday, the Town of Okotoks will host Xeriscaping and Waterwise Gardening: A Green Living Workshop.

The event runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Environmental Education Centre and will also be available to stream online. It will focus on how to plan and care for gardens in southern Alberta’s climate.

Attendees will learn how to manage challenges such as heavy clay soil, a short growing season, cold nights, midsummer hailstorms, sporadic rainfall, and wildlife.
