Pulled these two young palms (palmling?) a few days ago and placed them in water. Curious if this has any chance of success? They haven’t turned brown and died yet so that’s a good start I guess!

I tried to be as gentle as possible when uprooting them to get as much of the existing root structure as possible. I’ve previously tried doing this and placing them directly in soil, but they always died a few days later. Hoping this might have a better chance of success.
