Hi, I just bought this Sun Gold tomato plant at my college plant sale and I am looking for some recommendations for grow lights and other tips for growing. Something that can help it grow in my dorm for the last few weeks I am here till I go home. As you can see the side of my dorm I live does not get much sun☹️. Please help!

Go to a garden center and get a large plastic pot that certain plants are delivered to them in. They may have them out in back or just ask one of the employees. Should get it for free. Plant this deep in it with real good potting soil. You should get a grow light or two as tomatoes require 6 hours or more of light to thrive. Good luck!!!

For one plant, a basic single bulb LED grow light should work. Or even a florescent light in a cheap housing.

    Looking good!

    1. Get a bigger pot with more plant soil and transplant to the bigger pot.

    2. Cut off bottom two branches and plant the tomato plant up to the upper branch you cut off.

    3. Go to Goodwill or similar place and try to find a cheap goose neck or similar desk lamp that shines down.

    4. Just buy a plant bulb for tomatoes and put in lamp and give plant 12 hours a day.

That should get you home with a healthy plant:)

[I have a couple of these](https://a.co/d/09ZuW1ZR) and use them on my seedlings until they’re ready to start hardening off. They work great, and unless you want to drop 1-2 hundred on a legit led light bank they’re the best ive found for supplemental light.
