This is from an area of land just behind our home. I walk my dog here most days and am daydreaming about doing a bit of guerilla gardening, planting up some native trees and fruit bushes, but I don't want to put in money if this place is likely to be used. I know once upon a time this was the site of a mink farm, not sure if that's when they were last cut. It may technically belong to forestry now, but there are no roads that would let their timber lorries get here so if it is theirs I would assume it's green belt, but my concern is that they may actually have cut these in preparation for planting pine, and they may show up at some point. Just wondering if anyone can give me an estimate. The moss growth makes me think it was some time ago but I would have expected more growth on top if that was the case…
