Never had them when I lived in oregon. Then I moved to central washington and here we are. Im not worried about the tree, I will physically remove all of them tonight and just keep an eye on the tree from now on. They are exclusively on the fir and not after my other evergreen trees in the slightest.

Blast off what you can with water & treat with neem

  3. If any of your local garden stores sell ladybugs, they will eat aphids

I’ve had good luck with net bags and ladybugs you can buy from some nurseries. Granted, those are little aphids. You can move them plant to plant tho after a couple days on one.

A tree like that could handle a gentle scrub with a stiff nylon brush to make sure you really get everybody out of the cracks. You can hose down before and afterwards too.
