  1. I was hoping to seed save my carrots. I went out early today, the carrots had no leaves from hundreds of army worms. I scooped up, crushed all I found, and left netting up for mockingbirds. Thanks for sharing Mr.Danny and Ms.Wanda 🙏

  2. It was so beautiful with your fog and listening to all the birds. Such a peaceful view and sound. Everything g growing and looking great. I had freezing temps last night and covered everything I have not checked yet to see if all did ok. Praying for God to have protected my garden.

  3. My Thompson seedless end up tiny, like champagne grapes. Very few clusters too. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

  4. If I add copper pennies to the top water basin of my Greenstalk, would that help keep slugs away from each tier?

  5. This is my dream. I don’t care much about what kind of house I live in. But growing everything I want. That will do.

  6. Hey Danny, I worked in the landscape business, and you may not know this, but there are giant metal picks with a handle that are stabbed into those big planters on the sides, and then they are dragged across the ground to where they are needed, and these holes in the sides if the big black nursery pots can be covered with a small piece of duct tape on the inside. I routinely cut feed sacks to line inside the bottom of the planters b4 adding soil. In the bonsai business, it's practice to put tiny square mesh in the bottom. Usually that's plastic, although wire mesh is also used. Here in Texas, I prefer feed sack liners, I can punch small holes with an ice pick. This holds water longer.

  7. My giant planter with about 8 grapevines in it, got moved into the greenhouse yesterday, because it has all kinds of little clusters starting to form now. Maybe this year I will get some produce off of it.

  8. I'm glad Miss Wanda is back home and I'm praying for good health for both of you. The good Lord will take care of us, even if we don't know His plans. You sure got your garden blessed, though, everything growing and green. Here in Michigan my tomato plants are still under lights on the shelves, but I do have some spinach growing in my unheated greenhouse that survived last winter's 30 below nights, that's kind of a miracle. I think every seed is a miracle from God. One tiny tomato seed will grow a plant with dozens of fruits, each fruit has dozens of seeds. Plant those and you'll have a field of tomatoes, enough to feed yourself and your entire neighborhood, all from one little seed. It's kind of like the gardener's version of loaves and fishes!

  9. I grow my tomatoes along cattle panels. Attach by that garden wire you can get at menards. I have it everywhere in my garden, hanging on the panels and fencing to easily grab.

  10. I cubed up potatoes and boiled them, let the water cool, and poured the water out on a big planter with rosemary and sage growing. I few weeks later, wow! Both plants took off like never before. Boiling anything? Save the water, even boiling eggs! Pour it out after cooling. Why waste such a nice addition to the garden?

  11. New stuff i will try soon in zone 8, Georgia: jujube trees, perilla, lovage, moringa trees, honeyberry. Between the blue berries: mulch deep, inoculate with wine cap mushroom, oyster mushroom too. Then a leaning pecan we cut down, in the shade, off the ground, lnnoculate the log with dowels loaded with shitake mushroom mycelia. This log, 20 feet long, good sized diameter should produce 500 to 750 dollars worth of mushrooms annually for five years. If this works as it should, I will get more logs to do the same. A serious income could develop with a dozen big logs!

  12. The garden of Eden was supposed to have been watered by a mist that arose from the earth, not by rain. It looks to me like you’re getting at least some moisture from the same source, or from ocean humidity moving inland, but I wish and pray that it would replenish your groundwater and ponds. Maybe the developing El Niño will do that – in His good time.

  13. Hello Mr. Danny and Ms. Wanda. I had a question on the Vego rolling citrus tree planter. As the soil sinks down into the planter, what's the best way to replenish it? Do you just add soil around the top and avoid the trunk area or lift the tree and add soil underneath it? I guess I'm concerned about the weight of the tree if it needs to be lifted. So glad to see Ms. Wanda back home. We are still keeping you both in our prayers.

  14. Things growing well, so glad to see Miss Wanda is back home😊 woke up this morning to 31 degrees. Usually have peas, spinach, and other cold tolerant things planted and poking up through the soil. But we had almost 2 weeks of rain , yesterday it came in the form of an inch of snow. Looks things will be drying out enough to get some seeds in finally…… greenhouse is full of seedlings hopefully mother nature straightens out by memorial day which is when put warm weather crops in the garden

  15. Many of the determinate tomatoes (Pink Wonder, Whopper Red, marglobe) are dropping flower buds, after first flush or two. Not sure if it's water, size container or soil issue. Florida 91 is a later bloomer. Any thoughts?

  16. I have found out about the Doyle thornless blackberry, supposedly very sweet and flavorful, which produces between 10-20 pounds of fruit per mature plant. It’s supposed to be hardy from zone 3-10 and a vigorous grower. Hmmm. 😁 I’m also looking at low chill almonds and have found two or three varieties that should be good for you. Then there are a few miscellaneous things that look interesting. How are the Chilean hazelnuts doing?

  17. I’m not surprised that some of your plants have taken this long to take off. One of the old transplanting saws is that the first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps, and the third year it leaps. In other words, it takes two years to really recover from transplanting, get its roots established, and THEN start growing and producing.

  18. I’m so glad Ms. Wanda is up and feeling better!!
What did you say the name of the determinate tomatoes are called? And where can I find some? I am having a difficult time finding anything other than indeterminate

  19. It's so funny, I have been doing that whistle for my mocking birds and yours is the first I've heard do my whistle. I wish I could send a voice clip.

  20. Boy I wish you'd tell my hubby you can't use tubs with holes in the bottom like that! He deliberately drills holes in the bottom after i tell him not to. Makes me angry!

  21. Must've had something drift in with the rain my dog got my backyard grape vine ugh need to recover another year… Same I'm like I ain't even looking at it if grows ill tie up but ugh ….

  22. I notice with Cherokee yellow they do grow like a second deck or layer not fully climbing kinda bushy I was confused can grow tall.

  23. I’ve been wondering how Mrs Wanda has been doing so I was so happy to hear her voice! ❤

  24. What a Blessing of a garden this year Mr Danny and so thankful Mrs Wanda is back home. Thanks for the tour, we truly appreciate the time and experience you both give back to this community.

  25. I sure would not have a mulberry tree close to the house or auto & equipment , those are a messy tree , and bird poop stains everywhere ????????????????????
