Restoring an abandoned mega zoo left for decades — this is Timber Motion’s full design concept reimagining a crumbling zoological park as a breathtaking biophilic wildlife sanctuary, rebuilt zone by zone from the ground up.
The concept opens at a derelict stone entrance gate topped with a massive gorilla sculpture overtaken by moss and overgrowth, then traces the complete restoration across the entire facility. The finished design reveals a grand courtyard plaza with a marble fountain, bronze animal sculptures, and lush flower beds leading into a tree-lined main boulevard with cast-iron lampposts and directional signage. Each exhibit zone receives a distinct interior design treatment: the tiger enclosure is rebuilt with natural rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and glass viewing panels; the elephant habitat features open sandy terrain and naturalistic water pools.
Inside the glass-domed tropical aviary, toucans, macaws, and parrots inhabit a mist-filled biophilic environment. The aquarium building showcases a dramatic hall, exposed concrete vaulted ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling tanks leading into a glass underwater tunnel through the Deep Sea Explorer Zone. The reptile house is finished in dark slate walls with warm hardwood ceiling panels, natural skylights, and glass terrariums filled with live tropical plants.
A serene Japanese garden with a koi pond, wooden gazebo, cherry blossoms, and a stone bridge provides a calm counterpoint to the rest of the grounds. A modern monorail connects all major zones, and aerial views close the design concept with a look at the fully restored facility — one of the most satisfying renovation concepts on this channel.
