WEST CHESTER–-The West Chester Garden Club announces its annual Flower Show to be held at East Goshen Township Building, 1580 Paoli Pike, West Chester, on April 23. The public is invited from 12-4 p.m.
This year’s theme, “Spotlight on Natives,” draws inspiration from the book, Bringing Nature Home by Doug Tallamy and celebrates the beauty and ecological importance of native plants.

“Visitors will enjoy exhibits in Horticulture, Floral Design, Photography, and Education. The event showcases the depth of talent within the club and offers fresh ideas for gardeners at every level,” says Flower Show Chair Jen Patterson.
“By the time the doors open in the afternoon, judging will be complete and ribbons awarded in every class. While blue ribbons are certainly celebrated, every participant is recognized for the effort, creativity, and dedication they bring to the show.”

The West Chester Garden Club is an affiliate of The Garden Club of America, which champions April as Native Plant Month. Our region’s beautiful native plants support local wildlife, require less fertilizer and water, adapt more readily to regional weather, and help preserve a sense of place in our landscapes.
The 35-member club meets monthly for programs and business meetings, while remaining active year-round—promoting native plants, decorating public spaces for the holidays, maintaining community gardens, and tending the entrance to Oaklands Cemetery.
