My first Japanese Maple. Picked up from a nursery over the weekend and as I stare at it I just don’t know even more 😂
What are your thoughts?
Also, quite a bit of damaged leaves on this. The nursery kept it under a pretty covered and shaded area, I’m thinking that possibly this was the effect?

This shouldn’t really be in a bonsai pot, it wants several years of growing to get a bit of a trunk first, and for that it needs more space.
Put it in the ground a couple years
Set it (plant it) and forget it for a few years to thicken it up
