I noticed its only on this one leaf, i had it about a month and it had a new baby unfurling. The baby leaf is happy and massive, no damage on the other white leaf just this one. Ive had varigated plants before but this is my most expensive one yet and my first variegated alocasia at that. Just making sure this is normal! 🙂

Edit: what can i expect will that leaf die or will the brown spots get crunchy?

    Long time variegated alocasia enthusiast here:

    Yeah i would not think twice about these marks, especially when they are on older leaf and on a frydek.

    Frydek leafs are to start with very soft so they get damaged easily.

    Secondly, variegated plants get alot of these kind of marks. Start looking in to it if the plant stops growing properly or if it starts dropping leafs on rapid phase.

    But yeah id chuck this in to the “plants be planting” and just forget about it at this point 😊
