Please help me help my overgrown philo! I bought this beautiful philodendron brasil (I think?) a little over a year ago in a supermarket (pic 3). She came stapled to a coconut pole and because I don’t know any better, I left her there. I have lots of hanging pothos, but this is my only philo and only plant currently growing on a pole.
After a couple of months I took her from the dimly lit staircase to my west facing living room and she exploded. She spent the winter in a slightly darker corner, because I overwinter my orange tree in this spot, but she still kept growing. I have very obviously never pruned her (too scared) but i think it’s time.
She has 7 vines and I have only once found a yellowing leaf (in the back), but her leaves are definitely getting smaller. Most still have the beautiful multi-coloring, some are just one color.
How do I help this poor overgrown lady? How/ when do I prune? Do I give her a different/ taller pole?
Thank you so much in advance!

Smaller leaves may indicate the plant is root bound. I would take her out of the pot, and see if she needs a larger pot & new soil. Some of my root bound plants show in this way, and if you want her to keep growing upwards & for the leaves to size up, then a longer pole would be required. Beautiful lady you got there!
Beautiful brasil!🥰
You could try a proper moss pole and a bigger pot maybe.
