Gardeners can simply use a single copper 1p coin in the centre of the birdbath to significantly slow down the growth of algae.
Copper acts as an algicide, helping keep the water clear and clean for much longer. To start, give your birdbath a good scrub with soapy water. After it’s clean, pop in the copper coin to keep algae at bay.
