A flourishing 17-acre garden near Seskinore Forest alive with colour, birds, bees and butterflies will be on TV next week as part of a new BBC series.

Belonging to, and lovingly-nurtured by, green-fingered couple Sir Bob and Lady Rosemary Salisbury, the pair’s beautiful garden located on the edge of Tattyreagh and Seskinore will be featured on the BBC1 programme ‘Greatest Gardens’ at 8.30pm on Monday.

The show, hosted by Diarmuid Gavin and Carol Klein, aims to find the best domestic garden in the North.

Local couple restore childhood homeland to a ‘field of dreams

In each episode, Carol and Diarmuid meet the homeowners who have transformed ordinary spaces into extraordinary sanctuaries.

They are also joined by a celebrity guest who helps them assess the overall design, creativity, planting skills and environmental awareness of the gardens, all competing for a place in the grand final, aired on Monday, April 27, in a bid to win the coveted Greatest Garden title.

See Monday’s Tyrone Herald for a special features on the local garden.
