This is my first cutting that I got for free when I bought my first "large" cacti (a myrtillocactus geometrizans). The guy I got the myrtillo (pictured last with the cutting) from gave my wife and I the cutting because it was a heart and because i told him I would love to have cacti with fruits. The first pic is when it bloomed, next pic is when I thought it was over, followed by one more flower, then finally today when I noticed the green had come back and the hexagons had faded! Last couple of pics is when I first got it accompanied by the myrtillo I got. BTW, enjoy the bird shit that I meant to clean but got stabbed once and decided that it can stay. Excited to see more of these beautiful flowers in the future! (First got the cutting on March 8th)

I wouldn’t entirely count on flowers on opuntia meaning it is rooted. I’ve had pads i forgot to plant blooming in my dark garage. Especially if they are cut with a flower bud on there it will usually go to bloom before roots come out
