I got this from a cutting for my friend almost 2 1/2 years ago from a very mature plant. But it’s still putting out normal leaves. I have a tai constellation. That is way younger and got some really nice leaves already. My Monstera looks more like my pothos. The leaves are about the same size. The third photo is a picture of a leaf off the Pothos and the Monstera. They’re getting the same. NE light. With a light from the shelf next to it for added benefit. They usually get watered every week with a slight amount of liquid fertilizer. The confusion is real.

They are all quite leggy, meaning they dont get enough light. They survive cause they adapt but without light there is no need for fenestration at all.
The distance between each node also tells me not enough light. The newest leaf in your Tai con is smaller than the previous leaf, also shows its not getting enough light 🙁
Every question about lack of fenestration can always be answered with : not enough ☀️☀️☀️
This post is how i guess i find out mine isnt getting enough light either i guess which is strange because i keep my plant stand light on 24/7! Gotta get a stronger light then..
Why is there random sunglasses stickers on the pics btw? Is that a secret code? 🤣
That’s one leggy plant there mate, you need grow lights or a better spot for the plants
Needs a ton more light.
Also, they are fenestrated, but don’t have inner fenestrations.
i noticed the leaves on your thai con are flipped backwards trying to reach the window. it’ll be best if you actually have the front of your monsteras facing the window. the back should be facing the room.
Oh no if yours aren’t getting enough light mine are screwed. Ugh. I hate my north facing house.
Las fenestraciones en el habitat natural se producen para dejar paso de luz a las hojas inferiores, en caso de que hay poca luz natural ,las fenestraciones dejan de producirse y la planta se estira hasta encontrar la luz óptima y así favorecer su desarrollo

Even fenestrations need a subscription nowadays 😒😜
My new leaf found its way between the curtains and its sniffing the sun her fenestrations are so cute. Both of these are new leaves. The lower one was the one in the window(still there
