The Yarrow has been a huge hit this spring, with dozens of insects coming to visit for the nectar and insects that feed on the plant, like Aphids. I have started leaving Aphids on my plants as they are a critical food source for many other insects, and don’t do any lasting damage.

  2. Great job! To me that’s what it’s all about. We are not just planting pretty plants we are creating ecosystems.

Shout out to Mud Daubers. Love those little guys. Had a small nest in my garage last year and the quantity of mosquitoes and flies dropped off noticeably after they moved in.

  4. I’ve seen an uptick in dragonflies this year in my yard which is really nice to help with the mosquitoes.
