Back in 2021, my wife and I visited the Maui Gold pineapple plantation in Hawaii. We decided to bring some pineapples home with us, and I regrew the pineapple crowns here in Austin
This video is a harvest of my pineapple plant and a recap of the pineapple plant going to fruit. I am working on a longer video where I will explain the process of overwintering the pineapples in my garage, and documenting the process in detail.

You’re obviously a capable gardener, and great job in that regard.
But I personally find it kinda gross when people use subreddits like this one to promote their business or their YouTube channel.

I have one for the first time this year. I was so surprised to see it starting.
Fellow Austin pineappler here. From what I understand when growing from a crown it takes 3-4 years to fruit, but when grown from a pup/sucker they fruit after 1 year.. which I’ve found to be true… growing my third fruit now.

I’ve got a pink pinecone growing on my front porch right now! It’s so cute with its little purple flowers.
