The upper part of the plant is just fine. But some of the undergrowth is yellow and spotty. Can anyone tell me what’s going on and how to address it?

But would guess watering left to go mouldy with little circulation?
I think ya got a case of early blight
Cut those off with clean scissors (and clean the scissors again after). It could benefit from some extra air circulation in the middle.
