Does this avocado need trimming?

Hey there, I grew this avocado from a seed a few years ago, it was a big seed and it was producing new branches constantly. It's in a pot with a water reservoir at the bottom because it drinks a liter a day or so. It at a east facing window and gets lots of light. The potting mix is not ideal, I am procrastinating on changing to a citrus mix.

I'm not sure if it needs trimming and if so where? Do you spot anything else that needs attention? I suppose I could cut the browning leaves, I have mostly let it do its thing for the past years. Currently it has a mild infection with shield lice, I try to remove them every couple of days in hopes that I may get rid of them all sometime…
