Hi experts, this is my cherry tomato plant and it's in fruiting stage but for a couple of days I have been noticing that it has started becoming droopy and constantly wilting many of it's leaves, it had a few more branches near surface that were also dropped, what's happening with my plant ? it's fruit are looking good and upper part is quite good but wilting is the problem, is rising temperature the problem these days weather at my place goes up to 34 degree Celsius.

  1. Have you been fertilizing at all?

    Generally when my leaves on a tomato aren’t dark green it means I missed fertilizing and they could use some food, not just a drink of water 🙂

    Is this a dwarf variety? If not, it also likely needs a bigger container with some more potting soil (in addition to a healthy drink of water & fertilizer). Whenever it’s really hot out, you’ve got to give it a good amount of water to cool down. But make sure your soil has ingredients like perlite, vermiculite, or rice hulls to help with drainage, otherwise the soil can get too compacted & the roots end up suffering.

    Are you mulching? That also helps with water retention & can keep the soil cooler. Best of luck!

    Could you plant it outdoors in the ground? Indoors, in a small pot like this, with inadequate light, it is a losing battle.
