Location is SEQ QLD. Spot sees sun mostly all day.

I would love to cover some of the back fence. Would some dwarf trees maybe be a good idea? The barrels are quite large, 70cm across.

Thanks

  1. You would do better to get planter boxes with trellis or buy metal trellis and attach to the retraining wall. but you are going to have problems with all the heat coming of the walls and fences, so look at drought resistant plants. Look at Native Australian plants and climbers or flowering ground covers.

Another idea is to use S hooks or over the door hooks to place hanging baskets off the fence, I have a few and use flowering ground covers as trailing plants. Also outdoor garden screens some of those come with plant boxes. Kmart sells expandable trellis with faux purple flowers or greenery also.
