I have seen some people wrap the aerial root in moist sphagnum moss or put it in a container with dirt before cutting it to give it a bigger chance of surviving the cut and prop (since it’ll have a bigger root system to start with then)
Also don’t forget to let the cut end callous over! Don’t want your new prop to rot, good luck!

Oh no, I just made 6 cuts to my monstera last night and placed them in rain water! Should I take them all out now and let them dry or is it too late?
