

I planted them a few days ago and keep them in the basement on the window ledge.I used those peat pellet greenhouse kits and have kept them covered since then aside from when I check on them. I have not watered them since then. I lifted the lid and noticed the white stuff. Are they mold? I have 4 other containers and only 2 of them have it. These were green onion seeds.

Because of their life cycle, they may seem to appear overnight. They appear because the conditions were right – usually warm, dark, humid, and moist soil.
