The Valley of the Moon Garden Club, which is celebrating 75 years in Sonoma this year, is set to host its Spring Plant Sale on April 25.

The club, which is a Sonoma Valley organization dedicated to gardening, education and stewardship, annually hosts a spring plant sale to encourage gardening and offer education and tips for the community.

The sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at Altimira Middle School, 17805 Arnold Drive in Sonoma. This year’s sale will feature a selection of spring vegetables, flowering plants, ornamentals, native plants, succulents and more, according to club representatives.

Garden club members will bring bulbs, cuttings and starts from their home gardens to share with the community. Club members will attend to consult the public, including a master gardener, and to carry the load of customers’ purchases.

Club members encourage guests to arrive early for the best selections. Proceeds benefit the club’s programs including public meetings with horticultural speakers, supporting local schools’ gardens, public pollinator gardens, and care and maintenance for the Plaza Park rose garden.
