I'm proud of my PNW front yard. Before photos span from 2019 (grass/lawn), 2020 (ripped up lawn), freshly planted in 2021. Most recent photos are from today, April 2026. Fresh mulch (50/50 blend of fine hemlock bark and compost) was just added before a week of rain.

Last week, I planted a few more perennials, divided some grasses, ferns, geums, and cat mint to fill out the yard more. I'm excited for things to grow and bloom!

It looks amazing! Did you dig up the grass by hand? I’m about to move into the new construction with 2 acres of lawn, dreading the digging process
